Sweet Valentine’s Day ♥ Вкусен Свети Валентин

The celebration of Love!

I dedicate this post to my amazing Husband who loves me more than anything in the world! I love him back even more!

The least I could do for Him to celebrate our precious love is a romantic Sunday breakfast! He has to know he is special! And I advise all of you married women out there: Never miss a chance to declare your love to your husbands! God put them in our life to make us happy so I believe we have to make them feel special every day!
Trust me you do not need a specific day to make it a special one! Just pick one and work your magic! I can help you with a simple but great recipe – Nutella Crepes!

You will need:
4 eggs
2 cups whole milk
2 cups flour
a pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla bean paste/extract

Mix the eggs well and add to them the measured milk, vanilla, salt and flour. Mix until well combined.
Use a crepe pan on medium heat and cook the crepes. I did the whole mixture and ended up with around 20 crepes. ( *Tip of the day: perfect amount for Nutella Crepe Cake!!! Let me know if you want me to share how you can make it.)

After you cook the crepes. Spread Nutella on each and either roll them or just fold into a pretty shape. Serve with fruits, whipped cream or whatever your heart desire!

Do not forget that you can add a pinch of flair with a glass of Homemade Strawberry Lemonade!

Enjoy with your loved ones!

♥ Happy Valentine’s Day! ♥

My Glorious! Spicy Turkish Adventure

What is better than a delicious warming soup in this rainy lazy Sunday? After spending the day at work on a Sunday there is nothing better than a quick, perfect warm light dinner. I recently had the Glorious! soups and I fell in love with them! And let me tell you something that says a lot coming from someone who never order a soup, even at a restaurant!

They have so many variations and all that I have tasted so far are really good! There is one flavour that stood out for me though – The Moroccan Spiced Chicken! That is why when I saw that Foodies100 were running a competition over on their site with Glorious! soups to win a trip to Mumbai I knew I had to participate. Not only because I love travelling but also because I became a big fan of Glorious! soups.

Even though I have never been in Morocco and I bet it will be so cool to visit it some day, I loved the Moroccan Spiced Chicken soup. Its flavour reminds me of Turkey in so many way as well! Me and my husband spend our summer holidays in Turkey with friends and I let me tell you that I am hooked with this country and their food for good!

Spending 10 days in Marmaris gave us a glimpse of the beauty and charisma of Asia. We enjoyed so much the sun shining through the palms and the mesmerizing  scenery of the small town situated between two intersecting sets of mountains by the sea. We just loved it! A vacation in Turkey will comfort you with amazing food, lots of history and the best hospitality ever! I am impressed of the kindness of Marmaris people, so friendly and nice.

There are so many historic places you can visit in the aria, beautiful islands nearby and numerous local restaurants and street food places where you can taste the amazing Turkish food. I loved the flavours, the colours and the atmosphere of this seaside tourist town.

Marmaris beauty is warming up my heart now during the rainy winter days in London. May be that is why I enjoy eating the Glorious!  Moroccan Spiced Chicken soup so much, because it is transporting me back to the beautiful summer days in Turkey and bringing the memories of the afternoon walks through the markets.

Ah the markets! Colourful spices, various sweets and juicy fruits just waiting to be transformed into the most delicious fresh squeezed drinks. Perfect pitch for everyone who wants something refreshing. There you you will find also various hand made ceramics you can take back home with you to decorate your house. They can easily gain a special spot in your heart – hand crafted and painted bowls, cups and dishes for your kitchen and themed dinners, towels and aromatic saps for the bathroom and what ever else your heart desire! You name it, I bet you can find it there!

A magical piece of land, perfect for food lovers and adventure seekers!

This blog post is an entry into the Foodies100/GLORIOUS! soup #GloriousAdventures blogger challenge.

How to Bake Your Wedding Cake ♥

People are the most intriguing and unique creatures on the planet Earth! In my opinion, the most interesting and fascinating part of us are the feelings and the emotions we are experiencing. One of the most wonderful characteristics of ours is the ability to love! Love is the driving force in our existence! People feel an overwhelming need to be accepted, loved and important to someone special! There is no more meaningful and unique experience than the feelings we are having in the presence of our loved ones! Serenity and fulfilment, peace and never ending happiness! Undoubtedly, love is the best gift that we have ever received from God! Love is what makes two people to bind their lives together for an eternity! What could be better than that?

When I go back in my childhood memories I can picture myself dreaming often about the day when I am going to marry the man of my life. Typical for all little girls, right! Then I grew up and kept on dreaming, but there was an addition to my dream – I had to make my wedding cake! You all know my affection of baking and cake decorating. I could not let the thought of ordering this so important cake even cross my mind! That is why I kept waiting and dreaming about this day when I was going to get this childhood dream come true!

All this brings us to the time of my life, the unforgettable events of this past June. The most beautiful, kind, heart-warming, and wonderful moments of my life! The most exciting and blessed day – our wedding day! I will tell you more about The Wedding in another blog post probably. Today I will  lead you through the fulfilment of yet another childhood dream: How to bake your wedding cake!

As you all know when the time of fulfilling your dreams comes nothing goes according to the plan but it is still beautiful in the end! When it comes to my wedding cake I have always thought that I will build it as tall as the Eiffel Tower and that I will cover it wit so many impressive elements. But actually when you grow up you start to understand that The Less is More! In the little things we find the beauty and meaning of our life. That is why I decided to do the purest, beautiful and airy cake that I can imagine for my wedding! I like it exactly the way it came out! It was not perfect but it was expressing my exact taste! I like everything gentle, beautiful, not so lavish and not quiet perfect! Just as life – it is not always what we expect, but its beauty lies in the ability to appreciate the imperfect that you have got. And it is a lot! Often we have much more that the other half of the world does not have! We have to appreciate it!

Now, let me ask you a question: How do you bake a wedding cake when you moved to the other side of the continent leaving all of your entourage in your home town? Literally, I took with me the ten most useful tools for cake decorating. Only in case I feel the urge to fulfil my itch for baking some sweets. You know how much I love this hobby of mine! Left with pretty much nothing I can use I had to make a plan how to create something beautiful out of nothing! To start with I got myself a rolling pin! The most important one! 🙂 Then I ordered everything else I needed – sugar pearls, decorating tools, cake ingredients, ribbons and everything else cake you can think of! I was getting excited! I found my favourite sugar paste at the shopping centre near where I used to live. I was so excited and happy that  I totally forgot I was getting the bus back home… I will leave the effort and the troubles I had bringing 10 kilos of sugar paste home to your imagination! 🙂 It was worth it though!

When I had everything I needed for The Wedding Cake I just patiently waited. Two days before the wedding when the craziness and stress were freaking me out I started thinking of ordering this cake. I was panicking. Who take orders of wedding cakes two days previous the event? You are absolutely right – no one! Stressed or not I had to bake this cake! It took me two days to make it – baking, filling, covering, decorating… In the end of the second day of hard labor I felt like I want to pass out! I was wondering if I am going to make it on time. For those who know me well you would guess that I even cried a few tears! But my coming back was fearless! I baked and decorated this cake right on time! And I loved the result! It was lovely!

Let me tell you a secret – baking an wedding cake is not an easy task to fulfil! Especially if you are making your own! It requires lots of failed plans, lots of sleepless nights, bringing home heavy packages of sugar paste, tons of stress, a few tears, lots of enthusiasm, tireless spirit, a huge excitement, tons of happiness and a never ending love! But the prize in the end is worth it! Beautiful wedding cake, perfect for you and exactly how you envisioned it! A pure feeling of joy and satisfaction!

I hope you will like the cake as well!

A Tale of Two ♥ Приказка за двама

It is Summer time all of you bloggers! In my opinion the best season ever! The nature is so alive, colourful, fresh and aromatic! The sun is shining, birds are singing, flowers are blooming! And yes, even here in England it is warm and sunny! 🙂

Therefore, when I think about Summer I sure think about Love! The Love! The one that is so passionate, pure and beautiful that fills your heart and causes butterflies in you stomach!  A Love so great and natural that makes you fly up in the sky and brings a smile to your face. A never ending Love!

I want to tell you a story… a beautiful one. A story about Love blessed from above!

Once upon a time in a land so beautiful called Bulgaria was born a baby boy. The second son of an amazing God loving family. This little boy grew up into a man, free spirited, bright and kind hearted. One of a kind who loved God and his parents. His life was a never ending adventure on the search of a knowledge and in service of all people. And let me tell you a secret I know all this about him from experience because this young man happened to be one of my best friends I grew up with! I am grateful to be blessed with a friend like him! Of course someone kind as him deserved a princess to stand by his side! To lift him up, to love and cherish him! And that is why God decided to bring one to this world for him. Every prince of God deserves a princess after all!

And yet again in the same land so beautiful just in another kingdom was born a sweet little girl. With hair so golden, eyes sparkling and smile so beautiful. This princess became a strong, smart and loving woman. One of a kind who has a big heat full of love of her family and friends. I know her as well. I watched her growing up into the lady she is now. This young woman was born to be the queen of my best friend’s heart! God never makes mistakes! These two are made for each other!  You would ask how do I know? They have been friends since little kids and this beautiful friendship grew into a love so pure and powerful. A love blessed by God! How amazing is the beauty and power of love! The love that brings two people together not only for a lifetime but also for an eternity! And yes I do believe in fairy tails! Especially when I am seeing them happening!

A Love like this can only be sealed with a so worthy proposal. Words so powerful coming from the One who gave the gift of love Himself. Beautiful promise for a lifetime journey starting with a simple word as ”Yes!”

”If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love.” ( 1Corinthians, Chaper 13, The Bible)

These were the words that I put on their engagement cake as well!

An year ago she said ”Yes!” to these words and to him! And now, an year later today is their Wedding Day!  This is my present for you dear friends! Even If I am not able to share the joy and the happiness of one of the most important days in your lives with you in person my heart is still with both of you!

I pray to God for blessings for you two! May the union of your lives to be the perfect beginning of a beautiful family. May God lead you through the paths of your Love! Stay strong in the hard moments, always love and cherish each other the same way that you are dong it today! Always hold each others hands and share the power of Love that God gave as a gift to all people! The best gift someone can ever receive!

I Love you Kriss and Lizi!

Have a wonderful Wedding Day!

In Pursuit of Happiness ♥

It has been 3 months since I moved to London and I can honestly say that I have never felt better in my life! It feels like I finally found my place on the Earth. It is not easy to make a decision to move in another country nevertheless what people say. The plane ticket and packing your luggage is the easy part – the challenge hits you after that. I did not have any doubts though. From the moment I made my decision I was completely sure about my choice. I feel at home here – calm, happy and satisfied of every passing day.

I got used to the London life which by the way goes on like a roller coaster ride. Hours become days, days become weeks and weeks become moths simply as a quick as a moment. I got used to the dynamic life I have now. I got used to having an umbrella with me all the time, to look right first when I am crossing the street, to cross on red lights ( and in my defense I will say that there is something really wrong with the traffic lights in London… you can rarely cross on green light here… God knows why!). I got used to the Indian accent as well as to meeting Bulgarians everywhere around London. Who would guess that we are so many here? The only thing that I am still trying to get used to is the separate taps for hot and cold water. My dear, good old English people, I do understand that it is great to be traditional but a mixer for hot and cold water would not be a harm to anyone, don’t you agree with me?

The life here in London is so colorful and interesting. Every day I meet so many and so different in their way people. You need to spend only 20 minutes in the tube and you will know what I mean – elegant gentleman in a suit and sneakers, a girl with a pink-green hair, young boys in leather clothes and boots, elegant young lady with tons of shopping bags, old man with an iPad… Oh and I forgot to mention that all of them are with different nationality, religion, skin color and speak a different language. I mean how cool is that? How could you not fall in love with this place? London is the meeting point of so many different cultures and nationalities together with the local people, history,  architecture and beauty. I love everything English since I was a little kid but today I can honestly say that since I got here I fell in love with the island irrevocably.

It is so cool to be a tourist in the city you live in. Even though it has been a while since I moved to London I still enjoy the beauty and the charm of this multinational and magnetic city. Every place I have been to so far is so unique and have its own character. Amazing architecture, parks, museums, coffee shops and beautiful restaurants. Oh and I should not forget to mention the bake shops as well as the so called by my Bulgarian friends “the Turkish street”. The place where you can find such a delicious  food, sweets and everything Bulgarian that I can miss. If you want to taste Bulgarian Shopska Salad, traditional Bulgarian yogurt and so many other stuff there is the place you can find them. Turkish and Bulgarian shops and restaurants and a piece of my culture which can remind you why you really enjoy your life abroad but it also can warm up your soul with something you really miss from home.

I am happy here! Enjoying my life to the fullest and I also enjoy the friendships I started with so many kind and amazing people. I feel closer to fulfilling my dreams because when a dream comes true it opens a place for another one. It is so inspiring to feel enthusiasm, ambition as well as satisfaction. And the greatest feeling is that I am sure the best is yet to come! There will be many more stories to tell!
